What the correlation engine does

Individual signals are useful. Correlated signals are predictive. Each time collection brings an account new signals, Revnox rescores the account and checks its signals against the patterns below, and an account whose signals match one scores higher.

How correlation detection works

Step 1: Signal collection

Collection is scheduled every hour for your accounts, and for each watchlist at the check frequency you choose.

Step 2: Pattern matching

A pattern matches when enough of its signal categories each have a signal detected within its window, counted back from now. A funding announcement counts as a funding round here. There are seven patterns:

  • Building GTM team with fresh funding: both of Funding round, Hiring SDR/BDR; within 90 days; 2.5x by default
  • New leader building their team: both of New executive, Hiring engineering; within 60 days; 2x by default
  • Actively leaving competitor: both of Competitor complaint, Review site activity; within 30 days; 3x by default
  • Scaling infrastructure under pressure: both of Team growth, Tech stack change; within 90 days; 1.8x by default
  • Talking about and investing in outbound: both of LinkedIn post, Hiring SDR/BDR; within 30 days; 2.2x by default
  • New money plus new mandate: both of Funding round, New executive; within 90 days; 2.8x by default
  • Tech modernization in progress: any 2 of Tech stack change, Hiring engineering, Product launch; within 120 days; 1.6x by default

Step 3: Score multiplication

An account's score is 70% signals and 30% ICP fit. When patterns match, the strongest one's multiplier scales the signal part, 1.6 to 3x by default. The signal part is bounded on a curve, so a multiplier raises it by less than its face value.

Viewing correlations

A signal that belongs to a matched pattern carries a Correlated signal badge on the Signals page and a Correlated badge in the account's signal timeline. Smart list results name up to three patterns an account matches.

Custom patterns

The patterns are built in and cannot be edited. Settings > Signal weights shows the multiplier each pattern uses in the workspace, which is the default, one learned from the workspace's own sends and replies, or one an admin or owner set.
